Our other news is that I'm pregnant again. Baby number three will be with us some time around the end of December. As I already have an 18mo and a 3 1/2 yo I will be taking extended maternity leave from mid-December to the end of February. If you need assistance please get in touch as I'll be able to forward you to one of our other stockists. MaM Covers

If you're feeling the cold like we are, you'll be pleased to know that Joey Slings now has the wonderful MaM Cover in stock. This cover is the Deluxe Winter MaM Cover; designed and tested in the Scandinavian climate it is fully reversible and contains two layers of polyester fleece with a breathable PUL-membrane in between. This makes it fully wind proof and shower proof and very very warm. We're on our third winter (and second baby!) using ours and we love it! It's really easy to use on front or back and is a great inexpensive alternative to babywearing coats. It can be used with all sling types and will fit you and your partner alike.

Joey Slings Newsletter - November 2008

This week is International Babywearing Week. What are you doing to celebrate? If you're in London, come and join us to do a walk to the Tate Modern on Sunday 16th November. The meeting point is outside the Tate at 1pm. Look here to find out where your nearest walk will be starting from.

We had a very successful time at the Earls Court Baby Show last month. We were invited to share Congaroo's stand and had a great time dancing Salsa with Fiona over the three days. Our new range was very popular and we practically sold out of one of the colourways. It was a very busy weekend and my daughter, Ilja (7 months old at the show) was absolutely amazing as she slept, danced and hung out in the sling for virtually the whole time. She was a great advertisement for why babywearing is so wonderful.

MaM Babywearing Cover:

The MaM Babywearing Cover is a wonderful and versatile cover that is very reasonably priced. I am ordering the Deluxe winter version which I have used through two winters and which has been excellent. It has two layers of polyester fleece with an inner layer of breathable PUL. The outer shell is microfibre. It is shower and wind proof. The MaM Cover is fully reversible and fits everyone so it is a great cover for both you and your partner/husband.

This bag is amazing! I have one and I can fit absolutely everything I need for a baby, a toddler and myself for a day out with room to spare.

I have three of these gorgeous bags in stock. Two are pillar box red with bright pink taffeta lining and one is black with bright pink taffeta lining.

The Onbag is large enough to hold everything you need and because it has no hard parts, your baby can comfortably sleep on the strap or rest a leg against it.

You can wear Onbag as a rucksack, shoulder or cross-body bag. You can even arrange the straps over your baby. I breathed our beautiful new daughter Ilja (ill-ya) into the world on Tuesday 11th March at 12.59pm, on the same day as our other beautiful daughter, Mila, celebrated her birthday downstairs!!

I had a wonderful water birth at home, although it was very fast (3 hours) and Ilja weighed a whopping 9lb6oz (I am a very petite 5ft2in)! We are all doing very well and settling in with the newest member of our family. Mila loves her little sister and wants to kiss and cuddle her all the time.

Joey Slings will be closed until 25th March whilst we celebrate our babymoon.

The countdown is on! Just a few more weeks to my EDD. Our lovely new baby could make an appearance any day now.

I have found a wonderful factory, based here in the UK, to make my slings and my production slot to have my very first order of slings made is booked for the last week in March. I decided not to try and have the slings made before the birth of my baby as it is quite a lot of work involved and I don't want to wear myself out.

I'm very excited that we will soon have a full shop of slings for you to choose from. This should be around mid-April. Once again, I thank you all for your continued patience.

Happy New Year to all our customers! Thank you for your patience in the past few months. Unfortunately, due to the demands of both pregnancy and toddler sewing up enough mei tais to stock the shop has been extremely difficult, if not down right impossible.

It is my aim to have in-stock carriers available to purchase before the birth of my baby at the end of Feb. Please continue to bear with me.

1st September 2007

After Joey Slings had a very successful relaunch at the Summer Sling Show back at the end of July, I have been slowly recuperating and gathering my strength in order to begin sewing up some more Mei Tais.

The addition of new Mei Tais to the stock has been somewhat thwarted by the wonderful news that I'm pregnant again Our little bump is due at the end of Feb. I have just moved into the 2nd trimester so I am now beginning to get some energy and can get behind the sewing machine again.

The addition of the wasabi strap colour to Joey Slings has been a huge success! Watch this space for more gorgeous slings using this strap colour!
